Abstract:

In the WTO, developing countries have been divided into two groups: developing countries per se (DC) and less-advanced developing countries (LADC). The paper studies the socio-economic characteristics of the LADC, as well as the reforms that they have introduced in recent years; the specific contribution of foreign trade to the development of these countries is further analysed.

Abstract:

The paper focuses on the evolution of the economic structure in UE countries during 1985-1996 period, analysing the composition of the their productive structures an their trade relations. We show that convergence on those variable had been partial, existing important differences among some countries, especially when the sectorial composition is observed. As consequence, the risk of a asymmetric shock has not clearly decreased in that period.

Abstract:
El período histórico que se contempla parte de los Acuerdos de Bretton Woods, en 1944, cuando se configura el nuevo Sistema Monetario Internacional y llega hasta nuestros días. El artículo aborda la interrelación entre la realidad y la teoría económica como entramado interpretativo de la dinámica histórica. La evolución se presenta a través de las décadas que abarca el periodo, porque cada una de ellas presenta una problemática específica dlferenciadora.
