Resumen:
This paper analyzes the impact of trans-border commerce in health care
services of Tijuana on the Hispanic-mexican market of California. Hispanic-
US citizens are often of Mexican ancestry, and cultural and familial links keep
them coming back periodically to their places of origin. Hispanics in California
constitute a market currently in dispute by insurance companies.

The need to analyse issues about economic and environmental sustainability has encouraged the development and use of the so-called E3 models (energy-economy-environment). These models aim to anticipate possible problems in the future, facilitating the search and the analysis of solutions by studying the interactions between the energy, the economic and the environmental sectors.

During the last few decades the European Union is carrying out a programme focused on the promotion of entrepreneurship and SMEs. In this article, firstly, we address the pertinence of the measures to encourage entrepreneurship in the European Union, considering some recent theoretical and empirical findings about the contribution of entrepreneurs and SMEs to economic dynamism.

Resumen:

Economic reality is clearly being affected by the development of computers and other new technologies. In this paper examines the contribution to growth of those technological innovations to the Spanish Economy in the nineties. This is estimated within a growth accounting framework, looking specifically to the changes produced by the use of different price measures. It also compares the results obtained for Spain with those obtained in another developed economies by different authors.

Since the pioneering contribution by W. Leontief in his 1973 Nobel Prize
lecture (Leontief, 1974), input-output models have been often associated
with world models attempting to estimate global environmental impacts of
economic growth. Leontief, Carter and Petri (1977) also introduced the concept
of scenarios, refering to possible future developments of the world economy
