The global dimension of environmental policy, which has become a subject of international policy with the concrete discussion of targets and instruments, constitutes a huge information gap for environmental policy.

The need to analyse issues about economic and environmental sustainability has encouraged the development and use of the so-called E3 models (energy-economy-environment). These models aim to anticipate possible problems in the future, facilitating the search and the analysis of solutions by studying the interactions between the energy, the economic and the environmental sectors.

During the last few decades the European Union is carrying out a programme focused on the promotion of entrepreneurship and SMEs. In this article, firstly, we address the pertinence of the measures to encourage entrepreneurship in the European Union, considering some recent theoretical and empirical findings about the contribution of entrepreneurs and SMEs to economic dynamism.

Economic reality is clearly being affected by the development of computers and other new technologies. In this paper examines the contribution to growth of those technological innovations to the Spanish Economy in the nineties. This is estimated within a growth accounting framework, looking specifically to the changes produced by the use of different price measures. It also compares the results obtained for Spain with those obtained in another developed economies by different authors.

The aim of this article to present the basic features of the LINK Project for international econometric modelling, as one of the most relevant experiences in the scope of the econometric model integration and global analysis and forecasting of the world economy.
